ABOUT THE FLOWERS

“WHY GO WITH ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS INSTEAD OF FRESH FLOWERS?”

  • Artificial flowers won’t wilt, get smashed during transit, or drop petals

  • They won’t flare up your allergies - or your guests’ allergies

  • All artificial flower varieties are available year-round, no matter the season

  • Artificial flowers are more lightweight than live bouquets, and easier to carry

  • Fresh flowers are more expensive, yet get discarded after just one day of use

  • Artificial arrangements can be made far in advance, reducing your day-of stress

  • They look stunning in photos, without any drooping in the hot summer sun

  • There is no water involved, so less to worry about, and less to keep up with

  • Fresh flowers can potentially stain your clothing - artificial flowers do not

  • Artificial flowers are more durable and can better withstand inclement weather

  • Since they last forever, you can repurpose them or use them as home decor

  • Let’s be honest, some real flowers actually stink - artificial flowers are odorless

silk flowers

“Silk” flowers are not always silk, but are made using synthetic fibers and high-tech processes to create botanically accurate, convincing artificial flowers. Silk flowers have a bad rap of being overly fake-looking, but I’m here to tell you that silk flowers are on the rise! Chosen carefully, silk flowers have fooled many a guest! An added bonus is that they are practically indestructible!

Sola flowers

Sola flowers are hand-formed from the thin shavings of tapioca or balsa tree bark. They can have brown bark on them or be a solid ivory, which is their natural color. There are literally hundreds of impressive sola flower styles! In their natural state they are somewhat soft and spongy, similar to foam flowers.

fabric flowers

I don’t get asked to use fabric flowers very often, but when I do, I love the way they give off a vintage, “Great Gatsby” vibe! Occasionally I will also add fabric flowers to a sola or silk flower mixture. Varying textures always make a floral arrangement pop! Often, the fabric flowers will have a rhinestone or pearl center for a bit of extra bling!

brooch bouquets

Ahh, brooch bouquets…photos just don’t do them justice! The way they sparkle and shine is sure to catch the eye of every guest! Choose this if you’re looking for that wow factor at your wedding! I can do clear rhinestones and pearls like above for a classy, elegant look, or multicolored jewels for a jazzy, extravagant flair to match your personality!

IN ADDITION TO THE VARIOUS “FLOWERS” I USE, I ALSO UTILIZE A VARIETY OF DRIED, PRESERVED, OR ARTIFICIAL GREENERY AND BOTANICALS TO CREATE YOUR FLORAL DESIGNS!

Hi! My name is Ashelle (pronounced “uh-shell”) and I'm a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant and lucky wife to ::drumroll:: a Physical Therapist! We settled down in Southern Oklahoma with our 3 dogs after getting married. Following several years of battling infertility and undergoing 4 rounds of IVF, we finally welcomed two children into the world. They are our pride and joy, and we cannot imagine life without them!

My other true loves are travel, coffee, amusements parks, corvettes, a good book or movie, and brilliant sunsets. I love spontaneity, delicious food, and deep conversations.

I’ve always been artsy, so I’m told, and my art interests have taken many turns over the years...but I've finally settled on the one thing that makes my heart happiest of all, and that is weddings! I hand-made most of my own wedding's decorations and floral arrangements, and since then I’ve had so many ideas and visions that I wish I could do it all over again! But instead, I channel that creativity and vision into helping another woman's dream day be the best, most beautiful day she remembers.

I have been designing wedding florals since 2016, which means I’ve had 9 years to hone my craft and fix all my mistakes before you came along! I would absolutely love to work with you to create something for your special day! I am quick to respond, inclusive during the design process, and a perfectionist to a fault. Feel free to contact me with your ideas, questions and requests...I love the challenge of new, unique designs!

I named my business “MyArtbeat” Florals because that is exactly what art is to me. It is what I live, love and crave. It makes me feel unstoppable. I hope that, as you browse my website, you’re inspired to let me create something that makes you feel the same!

let’s not forget the other important members of the team!
